My Week With Halloween Films in 2019 - Day 1

Overlord (2018)

A small group of American paratroopers, having survived D-Day, are on a mission to destroy a German radio tower. They hide in a village near the target (an old church), due to a young woman that they come across on the way there. One of the paratroopers discovers that the old church doesn't just house a radio tower, it also is home to a lab with some gruesome experiements.

I've been hearing some good things about this film and I'm glad I got to see it. It does pay homage to the old-style film titles of the 50s(?) and does a good job with the thrill building.

Most creepiest moment: Seeing the talking bodiless head.
